Group Elephant acquires Reliability-Centered Maintenance specialist Aladon.
Group Elephant recently acquired a minority stake in Aladon LLC, a specialist in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), strengthening the Group's capability in the provision of IP-leveraged services in support of business-critical, non-core operations for large enterprises.
Founded in South Africa and with a 40-year track record in the field, Aladon is respected for its proprietary RCM3 methodology, compatible with ISO 55001 for asset management and ISO 31000 for risk management. The methodology helps organizations around the world to improve asset reliability and reduce operational risk through structured maintenance strategies.
Aladon complements Group Elephant's expertise in enterprise data management, where clean, well-structured asset data underpins reliable enterprise asset management. Combined with RCM3-leveraged services and its ‘ACTOR’ web-based asset management platform, Aladon enables its clients to strengthen asset integrity, improve maintenance decision-making, and establish a trusted foundation for AI-enabled asset management.
The acquisition was led by Canada-based Riaan Vermeulen, with transaction support led by London-based John Mcfadzean. Both Riaan and John are Managing Directors in the worldwide firm. Aladon is led by founder Marius Basson.
