Group businesses LogBox and Advance introduce AI-powered clinical support capabilities for healthcare practices in South Africa.

LogBox is a healthcare technology platform that streamlines patient onboarding and enables healthcare professionals to digitize and manage clinical case files. In collaboration with fellow Group business Advance, LogBox recently expanded the platform's capabilities with a suite of AI-assisted clinical tools.

The new functionality includes consultation transcription and summarization, automated generation of referrals, clinical reports and discharge summaries, and AI-generated summaries of entire patient case files. The objective is to reduce administrative effort, ease access to relevant patient information, and enable clinicians to focus more on patient care.

The enhancements are a shift from manual data capture toward intelligent information management, automatically highlighting relevant medical history and supporting more efficient clinical workflows. They are currently being piloted by around 30 medical practices, with almost universally positive initial feedback.
