ERP hosts Bush Buddies Initiative for Barokologadi community learners at the ERP Melorane Private Game Reserve in the Northwest province of South Africa.

In early September the Group’s affiliated nonprofit Elephants, Rhinos & People (ERP), hosted its inaugural ‘Bush Buddies’ event at Melorane Private Game Reserve, in partnership with the Barokologadi Community Property Association. Learners from four local primary schools took part in an engaging program designed to build awareness of ecology, biodiversity and sound conservation practices.

Guided by ERP’s resident ecologist Chané Joubert, participants learned how to identify wildlife, birds and indigenous plants. For most, it was the first time ever, observing species in their natural habitat.
