Dewald La Grange of Group Elephant earns his Private Pilot certificate through the Group’s pilot training program.

Massachusetts-based Dewald la Grange, an Associate Partner with EPI-USE in America, recently earned his FAA Private Pilot certificate following a successful checkride at Norwood Airport near Boston. This follows flight training undertaken through the Group’s ‘You Too Can Fly’ program.

An engineer by training and a longtime aviation enthusiast, Dewald says that flight training has improved him as a technology professional, and that he sees clear benefits in business decision-making, risk management and problem-solving.

His final examination flight included a cross-country navigation exercise, weather diversion procedures and a series of advanced flight maneuvers. Gusting crosswinds on the day didn’t make it any easier, so he was thrilled with the successful outcome.
